Kenyan court orders Worldcoin to delete all biometric data

Kenya's escalating confrontation with Worldcoin — from its July 2023 launch triggering 350,000+ sign-ups and government warnings, through police raids, a parliamentary investigation, CEO testimony, operational suspension, resumed operations after police dropped investigations and a court order to delete all biometric data.

In a conflicting statement, a Worldcoin representative debunked the news, saying no executives were detained in Kenya.

Kithure said that if the money in crypto trading cannot be traced until it enters a financial institution, he would hesitate to permit its use.
